In all there were 83 applications for the January allocations. The successful applicants had to demonstrate that their projects met the criteria of being local, inclusive and sustainable. Priority is given to applications from organisations within the parish of Kilcommon and eight groups from the parish have been awarded funding under the January round. This brings to 16 the total number of groups in Kilcommon supported under the Local Grants Programme over the past year.

This year’s programme is jointly funded by contractors who are working on the Bellanaboy site: PM Group, Roadbridge Ltd, Mercury Engineering Ltd, SIAC Butlers Steel Ltd, Kilcawley Construction, and Hertel Ireland Ltd.
