Illegal trespass by a large number of protestors was highly irresponsible

However three hundred workers went to work as normal this morning at Bellanaboy and there has been minimum disruption to the works taking place onsite. Earlier this week saw the erection of the first of the steel structures onsite and employment is expected to grow rapidly to seven hundred workers by March 2008.

Shell to Sea had stated that today’s event would be a peaceful sit down protest. Unfortunately people with no link to this region have again placed our local workers and other contractors in danger by their reckless actions.
