The final weld

A critical element of the Corrib Natural Gas project was completed ahead of schedule in 2013 when the final weld on the Aughoose to Bellanaboy terminal was made on 14 November. The contractors for the onshore pipeline are Roadbridge and Murphys. Mechanical testing of the pipeline was completed, without incident, in the past week.

Reinstatement work on the pipeline is well underway. The environmentally sensitive crossing of the Leenamore river and the 190 section through recovered eroded bog has been reinstated in what is regarded as a standard-setting environmental management project.
